Summer Front Porch Decor
I know I've been MIA for a while...but, I have a good reason...I had a baby!!! I've slowly been trying to get back up to speed. The little guy has been doing quite well in allowing me to do so... YAY for good babies : )
It finally feels like summer (well, not today...it's in the low 60s), anywho I thought I would share my summer front porch with you all...
Between Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day, I leave the American Flags up all summer. It all goes by wayyy to quick!
I've had this wreath F-O-R-E-V-E-R! And, yes, I made it. This year I added some new greens to it to spruce it up. The spiders had moved in to it over the winter and I had to give them their eviction notice.
I was going to put the sled away for the winter...but I dunno what it is... I just love the vintage touch it gives to the porch year round. I just added a little seasonal touch with the flags to change it up.
I was at a loss on what to plant in my terracotta planters this year. I've always wanted to try Ferns, but with all the hot sun our front porch gets I wasn't sure they would live. Hubby and I were at Lowes and these beauties were half price because the plastic hangers they were in were broken. I was going to re-pot them anyways, so for $12 I thought they were worth the risk! Now, I just have to remember to water them profusely. So far, so good.
